Joy Deal

The other family member in our practice is Dr. Deal’s daughter, Joy. She has her own business, Joyful Grooming, but she chooses to work out of our office. This affords her some medical support if she feels a groom needs special attention, and offers an extra convenience to our clients.

"One-Stop-Shopping"

Joy is the best groomer we’ve ever worked with. We often hear her downstairs, singing to her pets as she works out their tangles. She attends seminars every year to sharpen her skills and keep up-to-date with the current grooming procedures and methods. Her devotion to her chosen profession is impressive.

Joy has been grooming for four years. While learning the more commercial end of the business, she has not only worked in our hospital but also with PETsMART. She loves taking a fuzzy, tangled, knotted rag-a-muffin, and watching the owners’ expressions when she marches out a silky, smooth puppy in two magical hours. The transformations are sometimes so shocking that we get excited ourselves. It’s wonderful having Joy with us. We are able to offer extended services to our clients and it’s always fun to see what she’s going to turn out for the day’s grooms.
